Distance Education Undergraduate Non-Resident Tuition & Fees for Fall 2026
Students that are in a Main Campus program will be billed at the Main Campus tuition and fee rate. Students that are in a DE program and are taking more than one Main Campus class or live on campus will be billed fees at the Main Campus rate.

ECU First Day Material
ALL undergraduate students will be charged $21.00 per credit hour with no cap for ECU First Day course Materials with an option to Opt-out.

There may be additional fees associated with Distance Education courses for verification of student identity for proctored examinations.
Some Kinesiology and some Nursing courses may be charged additional fees

Optional Fees
Students pursuing approved online programs with a fully online course schedule, pay only fees that cover campus security, education and technology and Student Government. These fees do not include university fees, which allow you access to campus programs and services including the campus recreation centers, student tickets for athletic events, student concerts and programs, or the student health services fee which allows access to campus Student Health Services without an office visit charge and/or to make appointments at the Counseling Center. (Last day to request optional fees is 5 days before classes start).

You can voluntarily pay the university fees and/or the student health services fee for access to these programs and services for the semester.
