SSN I FEIN Disclosure Statement

You are required to disclose your Social Security Number (SSN) / Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) pursuant to Internal Revenue Code §6109 for East Carolina University’s (ECU) tax related reporting requirements.  The SSN / FEIN will be utilized to create a unique identifier (referred to as a Banner ID) in ECU’s Banner Financial System.  This Banner ID number will be used across the campus community as your identifier, resulting in your SSN / FEIN only being utilized for Federal and State reporting obligations as required by law.
