Financial Services, as a division of Administration and Finance, provides centralized accounting services for the university and its financial affiliates, including its foundations and related entities. The service units in Financial Services are the Controller’s Office, Foundations, Enterprise Risk Management and Accounts Receivable. State Auditor’s Award of Excellence
ECU Financial Services is proud to announce that the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor’s office has chosen East Carolina University for the State Auditor’s Award of Excellence for FY 2024.
“The purpose of the award is to recognize state entities that distinguish themselves from others by meeting strict eligibility criteria developed by OSA for financial statement and federal compliance audits.”
Criteria is based on Timeliness, submitting by the deadline established; Adjustments, no significant adjustments after financial statement audit is completed; Findings, no records of any audit findings; Process, audit reports received when requested and no significant difficulties encountered during the audit process.
Vincent Falvo, Associate Vice Chancellor for Financial Services stated, “Even though the audit award recognizes only FY 2024 financial reporting of excellence, our financial reporting team has been and continues to do outstanding work every year. I am also proud of all of Financial Services employees, for your commitment, dedication, and service to the University.
